WARC (VE4BB) will be offering its 10 week Basic Certification course starting January 6, 2024.
Class times are 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Course will run for 10 Saturdays and end on March 23 when the exam will be written.
Course fee is $150 and includes the Canadian Amateur Radio Basic Qualification Study Guide.( $85 If you already have the studdy guide.

The course will be taught in the newly refurbished WSC Amateur Radio Club (VE4WSC) located on the second floor of the historic old fire hall at the junction of St. Mary’s and St. Anne’s in St. Vital. The facilities include analogue and SDR HF radios, analogue and digital FM radios, amateur satellite communications, a workshop, a dedicated classroom with projectors and distance learning capability, a kitchen, a coffee station and a library/lounge.
Talk to Astronauts in space, other hams around the world; help in emergencies in your own community! The Winnipeg Amateur Radio Club's "Basic Course" is now open to applications on a first come, first served basis. Tuition of $150 covers textbook and all instruction.

Students getting 70% or better on Industry Canada's 100 question, multiple-choice examination will receive the Amateur Radio Operator Certificate, Basic Qualification and a call sign. The exam is part of the last class. YOUR Certificate IS YOURS FOR LIFE!
