WARC will be participating in Winter Field Day again this year at VE4BEF Bill’s QTH. The event runs from January 26 @ noon CST through to January 27 @ noon CST. We will be operating as many of those hours as we have volunteers for. We will have the club’s 7300 working, as well as VE4BEF’s TS570D, if you have something you wish to work with, please feel free to bring it along.

There will be two locations on the property operating – the first being a nice comfortable heated shop, the second being a less comfortable (but still heated)/more shacky ham shack at the rear of the property. Please be aware that there are two cats in the shop, so if you have allergies please take an antihistamine or stick to the cat-free ham shack!

The location is 2255 Knowles Avenue. Turn East onto Headmaster @ Lagimodiere, then turn North at the “unnamed” street. Then, turn East again at Knowles, and the event will be on the North side of the street approximately 1/8 mile down the road. We will have signage out at the street. DO NOT LISTEN TO GOOGLE MAPS or it will tell you to drive through the ditch where Knowles used to connect to Lagimodiere!

Come out for the food, radio fun, and comradery! Everyone is welcomed, licensed or not, and the event is absolutely free of charge. Come for 10 minutes, or 24 hours, or anything in between!

If you have any questions please contact Bill ve4bef@rac.ca or on VE4WPG repeater. Also visit https://www.winterfieldday.com/ for details on the contest.
